These coaching alternatives vary in depth and duration, and are designed to serve a variety of needs, from helping an executive sort through difficult career, leadership and life issues, to working with an middle managers in an organization to develop their coaching and leadership skills.
Our leadership development programs are built on a developmental model of assessment, challenge and support. Benchmarks for Executive Level Managers
Benchmarks is a uniquely comprehensive and intensive coaching program. It looks at the personal and professional lives of those executives who - by virtue of their positions - have preeminent influence and responsibility for the success of their organizations. The over-riding goal is to make the executive a better leader. We have found that in order to maximize that goal, the executive needs to examine himself or herself from every available perspective. By combining the insights gained from business colleagues, the executive acquires a clarity of self-understanding and an opportunity for personal and professional excellence that rarely presents itself.
Format:
- A coaching team composed of our management consultants.
- A custom assessment package that includes personality and style surveys and 360-degree feedback.
- Comprehensive in-person interviews with the executive's business associates.
- Multiple feedback/insight and goal-setting sessions.
- A combination of in-person and telephone coaching sessions, typically monthly or bi-monthly.
- Customized reassessment of progress towards goals.
- Team assessment and organizational surveys are options.
Length: The program typically lasts 6-12 months.
Best Suited for: Very senior-level executives: CEOs, COOs, officers, and ascending senior executives. Benchmarks is the most intensive and extended coaching program offered by us and provides a learning experience that is custom-designed.
Skillscope for Middle Management Level Managers
Skillscope, a custom-designed coaching program and can be offered to first-line managers and middle managers. The program effectively builds leadership and coaching skills for the organization's future leaders and enhances initiatives aimed at managing change and developing employees. The program teaches coaching skills one-on- one based on the needs of the individual manager. The manager sets goals and works with their coach to achieve these goals while developing skills.
Format:
- A coaching team composed of our management consultants.
- An assessment of 360-degree feedback from the manager’s boss, peers, and direct reports.
- Comprehensive in-person interview with the manager’s boss.
- Feedback and goal-setting sessions.
- One-to-one feedback, reflection and discussion to teach the essential elements of coaching and leadership. Emphasis on building the leadership skills, continuing to develop one's coaching and leadership skills, and making immediate links to on-the-job applications.
- Customized reassessment of progress towards goals.
Length: This coaching program is 6 months.
Best Suited for: Middle management level managers. Skillscope coaching provides a learning experience that is custom-designed for individuals who benefit in better understanding themselves as managers and want to improve their effectiveness in developing others. Participants may include managers the organization sees as future leaders, as well as those who want to improve their leadership and coaching skills.
